If Life is so short
Isn't it funny
How times seems to slip away
So fast
One minute you're happy
The other you're sad
But if you give me one more chance
To show my love for you is true
I'll stand by your side
Your whole life through
If life is so short
Why won't you let me love you
Before we run out of time
If love is so strong
Why won't you take the chance
Before our time has come
If life is so short
If life so short
Love is the word that explains
How I feel for you
And when you're in my arms
All my dreams come true
And when you're not around
You can't hardly see
These tears that I'm crying
Now are for you to be with me
If life is so short
Why won't you let me love you
Before we run out of time
If love is so strong
Why won't you take the chance
Before our time has come
If life is so short

The toilet seat
As you can see there is a part 1 of my music post but I have to side track for a bit on the toilet bowl seat. The toilet bowl seat in my house cracked! You would be wondering how it cracked. It all started with a thin line as thin as a thread like a small slit and then it became worse. How did it crack till it became almost 2 pieces? It's now dangling with still a small piece of plastic attaching both pieces together. There are a number of reasons:
1. someone's been doing really good business till it cracked
2. our butts are getting too heavy for the toilet bowl to accommodate. *traumatized look*
3. the toilet bowl seat is made of cheap skate quality. *but it lasted us for a good number of 4 years* maybe it's just time.
4. someone's been spending too long in the toilet these days!!
hahahhaha
Whatever the reason is, we had to put a stop to this bad situation! We've been putting up with this for like months. Thank god it didn't turn into a year! You know sometimes things which are not dealt with tends to drag on and on till it's a year? We decided to buy a new toilet seat from Giant today!! We had wanted to get the one with the cushion on but upon having second thoughts on the cleaning of the cushion (if you know what I mean by "cleaning" here) , we decided against it so we chose the ordinary one. YAY ! Now our butts can sit in comfort. Before that, our butt is always 'kepit' whenever we get up from the seat. HOORAY no more butt clips!

Part 1:Music and I
You know how music's so essential to me. I listen to almost everything but there are still some exceptions to my taste in music. Anything that sounds good is definitely my cup of tea. Here are some of my most favourite collections of all:
Maroon 5, It won't be Soon Before Long. It wasn't released that very
long ago and apparently these are one of the rare albums which
mostly all their tracks are nice in its own kind of way. My favourite track would be:
-Won't Go Home Without You
-Better That We Break
-Kiwi
-Wake up Call (which I hope I won't get tired of listening cause the radio station's playing it so often)
Another alternative good stuff, the Fall Out Boys and Good Charlotte! It's kind of tedious to list down cuz everything in there seems pretty good!

*****

And the best part, Stacey Kent. I really really love all of her albums. Her songs are really to die for. It's almost ever green. I can never ever get enough of it. And if I were to write down my favourite tracks I can go on and on forever.
I'm such a nostalgia / jazz freak that another album worth listening to
is Emi Fujita's. This album is mainly oldies turned into easy listening. Something like Michael Buble's but for Michael the more you listen to it, it gets kind of boring to me. Another dude who sings these kind of songs really well is Rod Stewart. All his American Song Books are great. There are others who are great too such as Steve Tyrell and Diana Krall.
So there you have it. My small list of music and I. There will be so much more. Stay tuned.

Mah Family
My family isn't like any ordinary family. It depends on which type of family you are in. For me I'm the youngest in the family. I have only one sibling that's my sister. She's really nice at times and can turn nasty whenever she looses her temper like yelling the whole house down just because of nitty-gritty stuff. Such as when her internet connection's slow, not being able to be the first to bathe, adding too much oil in food and that her gym sessions are wasted, not having enough apples to put herself on a diet and the a whole lot of things more. Of course things have improved ever since she spent 5 years away from home and now that she's back for 2 years I think she has pretty toned herself down due to certain circumstances. There were times when I missed not having someone to quarrel with, chat with or to hear someone yelling in the house. When we used to stay in our flat in Air Itam way back from junior school to high school both of us shared rooms and when she had to live away from home it was pretty lonely. We usually communicate by ICQ. It was the in thing and the cheapest way to keep in touch without having to pay phone bills on a daily basis.
The years sort of rolled by and now we're living in our new apartment for like coming 4 years and things have changed since we've learn to be more tolerant with each other. hehehe Of course my sis and I can also be girl friends at times when we share our shoes, clothes, make up sets, magazines and everything that a girl would be thankful to have a sister. So we certainly have our differences but we are able to look upon that. :)
As for my parents, my mum's a a cleaning freak. She cleans the house twice a week, changes the bed sheets every week, washes the laundry like 3 times per wash in the washing machine, wipes the furniture every week and irons almost all our clothes daily, washes the toilet twice a week and bla bla bla. Every night she sleeps at odd hours and wakes up at odd hours whichever fits her schedule. At times she sleeps at 11pm and wakes up at 6am or she'll sleep at 3am and wakes up later the next day around 7.30am. My mum seldom watches movies or TV. She reads the papers from cover to cover even the classifieds. hehehehe But my mum ensures that we get the best of everything in every sense. She makes sure that we eat well by rushing to the market and cook up her most delicious meal she can, cleans the house so that we live comfortably, washes our clothes thoroughly, gets tidbits for us at the groceries to make sure we have enough food supplies at home. :) And just so you know, my mum's really the cool mum. She goes on MSN to chat with us and sends us silly emoticons for us to laugh at, types emails, types smses and even knows how to use speaker function on her mobile!
As for my father, he's always grumbling and nagging at us at the slightest thing. Sounds familiar? Ok here's a hint "grumbles at nitty gritty stuff'. No prizes for guessing the right answer but I think my sister inherited some of those characteristics. What does my father grumble at? He grumbles at the way my mum drives when he's not any better at it. He grumbles at the way we speak because he's a light sleeper and he can hear the slightest noise in his sleep. He grumbles that we don't wash our car consistently, he grumbles at everything and anything. He even grumbles at the way I take care of my rabbit. You'd be bored to know the list of things he grumbles at. I think he's having mid live crisis perhaps. So I'm still giving him the benefit of doubt because when he's not in the house at least we're still free to do whatever we want to do without having to put up with his grouchy ways.
Basically everyone's freaked out because of his grouchy ways and mostly my sister snaps him out of his grouchy mood or my mum would do so. hahaha
Apart from the nagging part, my dad also has weird sleeping habits. He occasionally wakes up at 7am to watch some lousy shows on Cinemax which doesn't make any good sense, gets back to sleep when he's sort of done with the show and wakes up again for work. As for me if I had the chance of sleeping till late all the more I would do so. My mum says at times when she wakes up at 6am he'd be watching TV too. LOL
That pretty sums up my family ways. :) It's getting late and I have to sleep for now. Nitey nites!

Of inconveniences and other minor problems
Oh well my first semester finally started this week. To say that it wasn't so bad after all is an under statement because I did have plenty of inconveniences. To start of with the parking there is madness. Totally madness! The cars are parked bumper to bumper and can you imagine the cars are parked blocking each other? Meaning if you block someone you need to shift your car in the midst of whatever you were doing and if your car is blocked by someone you need to give the person a tinkle and ask them to shift and make way for you. On my first day there I was really terrified at the way their cars were parked so what I did was to wait in some corner and thank god someone was just leaving hence I need not leave my mobile no. behind.
That's only one small part of the problem. However at times that you want to leave the premises you have to think twice if you are planning to go back else you wouldn't be in luck to find a decent place when you return to the campus.
I just don't understand with the amount of money which we pay to the college I think they can easily provide us better parking spaces!! At least wider ones. I can imagine the problem getting worse when I have more classes in the future sems!
Okay maybe I might be able to deal and live with it for the next 2 years.
As if having the inconvenience of parking was not over yet I had to go to the library to do this research which we were assigned to. So to the library I went and you know the books are marked differently for god knows whatever reason it is, depending on the markings only some books are entitled to be borrowed. Bah! And you know what, after selecting the appropriate reference book I could borrow there was this bloody rule that one can only borrow after paying a hefty deposit of $100! What the heck man! As students I thought that having a student card is sufficient! After like paying $200 for registration! It should be included you know..... And that happened after walking several rounds in the library it was so annoying to know the pathetic truth. Jeez!
Lastly was the ultimate disastrous incident of getting the wrong timetable on the first day. How am I to know that I've been given the wrong timetable when everyone else was getting the same timetable. Argh... I wasn't informed. Apart from I was not informed was I needed to register for my subjects every beginning of the semester and only then I realized I had not registered. Good gracious.
I never knew that getting back to college or rather my first week of college would be so complicated or in other words unpleasantly disastrous. Oh god please tell me there won't be anymore hitches. T.G.I.F. tomorrow! No classes for the next three days but have to catch up for the next lesson.
Please do wish me better luck.

It's just another rainy night
It's been raining for like 2 nights. Been spending my rainy nights with my PJ's long pants all snuggled up with a warm plate of noodles and a quart of Baskin Robbin's latest obsession of cotton candy. :) How heavenly good.
Spent like an hour trying to get these blog things right and with Percy my rabbit escaping from his house and people bothering me to bathe didn't help at all. Ugh anyways, I suddenly got my sense on HTML right and here I am. I wonder how long can I keep this up.

Ratatouille
was the movie I watched this afternoon. Although it may seem for kids but I truly enjoyed it. The story behind it means nothing is impossible if you work yourself through it and to prove everyone wrong. What Stacey Kent sang was very true, titled "they all laughed".
Secondly my mum cooked up a really great meal for us today called Macaroni Pie which consists of macaroni pasta, mushrooms, carrots, broccolis, onions mixed with melted butter and garnished with cheese to melt as the topping in the oven baked for 20 minutes. Our long awaited dinner at 10pm (yea, I hope that your eyes don't pop out) was worth every wait. We even ran out of cheese so I had to drive to the nearest convenience store to get more cheese. I'll give it 2 thumbs up!

The beginning of
a new blog. The new way of life that's blogging. LOL
Been bumping around for the past 3 days and still counting for 2 whole weeks. You can imagine the euphoria of waking up late and not having a single worry of "how to put my time into full use before the day ends". So since then things have been looking up lately as I am free of working for the next two years to per sue my studies. 3 years in the working life leaves me to dragging myself up from bed at 8am every day in the week and just as when you're eagerly waiting for the weekend to arrive, those 2 days shoots past in a blink of an eye. 3 years of working doesn't make me feel as though it's 3 years. How time flies. And just yesterday I was already having my farewell lunch. Food was scrumptious! Should give it another try next time!! Really really good. Am still drooling over it. HAHA
Till next time stay in for the next updates soon!
